PA Wellington] The secretary of the Clothing Workers’ Union, Francis! Bernard Thorn, must nowi forfeit only $3O of a $2OO bail bond that he took out !as surety for a friend who failed to answer his bail, as a result of a judgment by Mr Justice Jeffries in the. Supreme Court at Wellington.
Mr Thom had appealed to the Supreme Court after an order estreating the bail bond by $lOO was made by Mr M. F. Hobbs, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court on January 31. His Honour had reserved his decision after hearing the appeal on March 14.
