Kiwi Barmin wins in 1.59
Kiwi Barmin, a five-year-old mare by Meadow Paige from the top trotting mare, Forward March, took a Imin 59sec record when she won a few days ago at Meadowlands. Raced by Mr Clarrie Rhodes, of Christchurch she is trained by Al Bragin. She has now had three starts this year for two wins and a third. Last year she |took a record of 2min o.3sec; Mr Rhodes is now considering returning Kiwi Barmin to New Zealand for stud purposes. Kiwi Barmin is (he second foal of Forward March to win in the United States, January Minbar also being a winner. Forward March has had three foals since being returned to New Zealand with her daughter by Greentree Adfos. Unfortunately the daughter died before having a foal. Forward March’s oldest foal in New Zealand is a two-year-old colt by Lumber Dream. lie favours the (rotting gait and will be seen in action next season. She has also a yearling (illy by Tuft and a (illy foal by Lumber Dream. At present she is in foal to Garrison Hanover.
