Delreen will probably be Riccarton's brightest hope for a victory at Oamaru on Monday. After three placed runs recently this member of Bryden Mills’s team is one of the obvious chances in the Brydone Maiden Stakes. | Yesterday Delreen ted Go Avanti by a length, finishing 600 m on the plough in 39.8 Earlier, Delreen’s stablemate. Sparrowhawk sprinted 600 m in 39.6 sec. Lady Aristoi was paired with a two-year-old Chari-
cles-Golden Lass gelding to run 600 m in 39 sec. Anthos and Rockford ran in from the 800 m on the plough in 51 sec. On the trial grass, which gave fast footing, Full Stop recorded 47 sec to beat Billy .lean by a length. Polka Dot and Golden Trumpet hurried in from the 600 m in 35.8 sec. Franciscus pulled a plate and got down on a heel in his race at Ashburton and .will not race at Oamaru. Tackle will not run in the IDe Geest Bros Handicap at ' Oamaru.
