Table tennis boycott
NZPA London The Commonwealth table tennis championships have opened in the Channel Islands under the shadow of a boycott by six nations, protesting against New Zealand’s participation. Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Mauritius have announced that they are withdrawing from the series, and are believed to be seeking support for a boycott of the world championships at Birmingham later this month.
