P.M. overseas before Easter

Parliamentary reporter Wellington The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) will visit Australia, Europe and the Middle East before Easter, his office has announced. He has accepted an invitation from the Prime Minister of Australia (Mr Fraser) to go to Canberra to discuss political and economic questions of mutual interest. Mr Muldoon will go to Canberra at the beginning of his trip, spending two days (March 17 and 18) there in discussions with Australian ministers. The Prime .Minister has also accepted an invitation from the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (Dr Schmidt) to visit Bonn on March 24. Mr Muldoon will go on from Bonn to Hamburg, where Mrs Muldoon will launch a new ship for the Columbus Line on March 26 The Prime Minister will

later visit Brussels and London. In Brussels, he will meet the Belgian Prime Minister (Mr Tindemans) and the new president of the European Commission (Mr Jenkins). In London, he will see the Prime Minister (Mr Callaghan) and other British ministers. Mr Muldoon has a longstanding invitation to visit Cairo. He is hoping to go there after he has been to Europe. He is aiso planning to visit Bahrain in response to an invitation from the Prime Minister of Bahrain when the latter was in New Zealand last year.
