N.A.C. man fare welled
Mr J. E. Davies, the southern regional manager of National Airways, was bidden farewell early last evening by airline representatives and city councillors. The function, at Christchurch Airport, was given by the public utilities committee of the Christchurch City Council, to mark Mr Davies’s departure from the city next month to take up a senior position with N.A.C. in Wellington. A tribute to Mr Davies’s long service to aviation in Christchurch and to his work in the community over the last 20 years was paid by the Mayor (Mr H. G. Hay).
