It has an anaesthetic establishment of five Full-Time Specialists, 12 Visiting Specialists, eight Registrars and five Resident Medical Officers The Anaesthetic Department provides the clinical anaesthetic service for in excess of 10,000 public operations per year covering all adult specialties, including thoracic surgery, and neurosurgery. The Department also has a commitment to the Intensive Care Ward and is associated with the development of Clinical Measurement in the Hospital. The succesful applicant will be responsible to the Director of Anaesthesia. In addition to clinical work in anaesthesia he will be involved with the training of Junior Staff and of Medical Students. The salary range is sAust24.49l-sAust3o,oll per annum. Annual leave is five weeks per annum Conference leave is available on application to the Board. Study leave is available after seven years service, this may’ be taken as six months on full pay or three months on full pay with additional • sums to cover airline tickets and living expenses during the period.
