Situations Vacant A ACCIDENT COMPENSATION COMMISSION SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER (POLICY & PLANNING) i) Reference No. 32/77 THE RESEARCH AND PLANNING DIVISION of the Accident Compensation Commission has recently been restructured and the consequent promotion of staff has left a vacancy for a Senior Research Officer in the Policy and Planning I Section in Wellington. The work of the Policy and Planning Section involves the investigation of anv problems which max arise in regard to legislation or the impleI mentation ot Commission policies and preparkton of proposals to their solution. The work also . involves research into comparative schemes for 1 compensation for personal injury bv accident and into the over-all impact of the Accident Compensation Scheme on the legal, economic and social - life of the country. There will also be involve- , ment in future legislative changes for the purpose ot simplifying and improving the existing statute. The Senior Research Officer will have control over some staff and will be responsible to the ’ Assistant Director of Research and Planning for reporting purposes. Ihe successful applicant should have some knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act and Scheme and should hold a degree in law or cconomics or the social sciences. Salary up to $11,244 plus $365 cost of living adjustment per annum depending on qualifications and experience. In the case of an appointee who is at present employed outside the Wellington area he/she may be granted assistance towards the cost ol removal expenses.
