LTD, P.O Box 1354. | CHRISTCHURCH, MARLBOROUGH HARBOUR BOARD PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CARRY OUT RECLAMATION IN PURSUANCE of Section 175 of the Harbours Amendment Act 1968 public notice is hereby given that the Marlborough Harbour Board is applying to the GovernorGeneral in Council for a Special Order authorising reclamation of two areas in the south-west corner of Waikawa Bay. The total reclamation area of 2.965 ha (7.323 acres) is required to develop a Smallcraft Harbour and associated land-based facilities. Plans of the proposed work may be inspected in the Board’s office, London Quay, Picton, during normal office hours. Advice Is also given that
an Environmental Impact Report has been lodged to allow the Minister to evaluate the ! consequences of the proposed i development on the environI ment. I Two separate steps can be i taken: •(a) Make submissions on the Environmental Impact Report it has been advertised by the Commission for the Environment. i(b) Object under the provisions of the Harbours Act. Any person wishing to object to the proposed reclamation must lodge their objection in writing with the Minister of Transport, specifying the grounds thereof. Copies of each objection must [also be served on the Board.
