Invasion set —Uganda
NZPA-Reuter Nairobi Uganda Radio announced vesterday that an "invasion force” was massed in Tanzania, just 10km from the Ugandan border. A military spokesman was quoted by the radio as say-; ing that the Ugandan Air Force and Marines had been ordered to strike deep into, Tanzania “if the reported invasion force tries to enter Ugandan territory even by one inch.”
The spokesman told the Ugandan public to remain calm. He said the border with Tanzania would remain open, except for air space, where the normal rules of seeking prior permission to ! enter from the Ugandan authorities would continue! to apply. The radio, monitored ini Nairobi, also repeated what; President Amin said on .Wednesday about a plan to

Tan-i zama has strongly denied the claims, describing them; i as “balderdash.”
