Medals for Royal Visit
The Waitangi mint will re-i lease a medal commemorat- ' ing the Royal Visit to New Zealand, and the twenty-fifth 1 anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the: throne. The 1977 Medallion will bo limited to 500 nine-carat gold] medals and 2000 silvers, but there will be no restriction! on the number of bronzes. | A gold medal will cost $2OO, a silver $3O, and a bronze $lO. A set of threel will cost $225. ii
I The obverse will portray ! Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, and the I reverse the New Zealand ' coat of arms and inscrip--1 tions. I All three grades will be 42mm in diameter, and the gold and silver medals will Ibe numbered. Each medal will display its own mint I mark, and will be accompanied by a signed certificate ■of authenticity. Every medal will be packaged in its own lined and embossed presentation case
