Farm workers
Sir, — May I, as a farmworker’s wife, say how I feel about the Farmworkers’ Association. For the first time in the history of New Zealand farming, the farm worker and his family have some security. This is entirely due to the Farmworkers’ Association —• not a party of paid officials but a group of dedicated workers who willingly give up their time to form a group who truly represent the farmworker. Having, like all other housewives, been on the receiving end of so many strikes, I greatly admire the quiet and responsible way they are pressing for recognition. I am sure many more women would agree that some unions could well leam from their example. — Yours, M. J. SADLER. December 16, 1976.
