Juvenile court

Sir. — I write to commend Mrs Nancy Sutherland, and her voluntary helpers. Mrs Brown and Messrs Rosenberg and Knowles on their efforts to achieve suitable rooms for juvenile defendants. I have taken the opportunitv to look at the present area, where these unfortunate children, their parents, social workers and dutv solicitors wait — sometimes for several hours — before being called into court. I was appalled at the conditions. A holding pen at a good woolshed, would be about as acceptable. — Yours, etc..
