Forgiving wife
NZPA-Reuter Paris A young woman, paralysed for life after being shot by her jealous husband, has won a court battle to get him released. The forgiving wife, 24-year-old Anne-Marie Bancod, told a court from her wheelchair: “I need my husband. There’s no more love between us but there is much affection and tenderness. I need him more than any medicine.” So a jury has given her 29-year-old husband, Robert, a i car salesman, a five-year suspended sentence. He had already spent 10 months in detention awaiting trial. Mrs Bancod, who has lost the use of her legs, told l the. court her husband shot! her in a jealous rage after; she admitted flirting with an :office colleague.
