Mission to U.S.A.
The writer of the two accompanying items on agricultural education and the international agricultural “Olympics” held in Kansas City last month is Mr M. R. (Michael) Woodlock. In his third year as agriculture master at St Andrew’s College, he was an adult leader at the first world conference in agricultural education for adult and youth leaders held at the same time as the agricultural “Olympics.” It was attended by between 250 and 300 people from 27 countries and held at the same time as the national convention of the Future Farmers of America. Mr Woodlock also visited an agricultural high school in each of Colorado and California, where he was hosted by. the agricultural teachers.
Christchurch born, he completed a master of , agricultural science r. degree with honours at Lincoln College in 1972.
