95 pros enter classic
PA Auckland The field for the $25,000 City of Auckland Golf Classic has shrunk to fewer than 100 professionals. It seems that when th* classic begins at the. Grange tomorrow there will be 10 amateurs and about 95 pro. fessionals playing. However, the field will be strong at the top with the likes of Boh Charles, John Lister. Kel Nagle. Maurice Bembridge, 'Bill Brask, Brian Jones, Doug [McClelland and Stuart Ginn entered. Peter Thomson, second in (Auckland last, year to Brask (will not be playing. Ha! Underwood, winner at Dunedin last year, returned to the United States on Sunday, and [Bill Dunk left for Sydney [during the New Zealand Open. Guy Wolstenholme. who missed the Open, will be playing at the Grange. The invited amateurs are the top-ranked eight in Auckland, plus the two leading juniors, John Varrnan Sand Wvbo Veldman.
