Christmas bonus
Christchurch beneficiaries who expected their Christmas bonus to be included in their December cheque need not be alarmed because it did not arrive — all bonuses will be paid by the end of [next week, according to the ’acting director of the Social [Welfare Department in [Christchurch (Mr C. 'Waters). ■ Monthly benefits were [paid yesterday to benleficiaries but the bonuses would be mailed direct from the department in Wellington. said Mr Waters. All Christchurch beneficiaries should receive the bonus between December 13 and 17, he said.
