Body in sea identified
PA Wellington A man’s body found in the sea near Wellington has been identified by the Wellington police, and the cause of death established as drowning. The man was Stephen Robert Hamilton, aged 25, of Haitaitai, Wellington. The police, who had trouble identifying the body
because it has been In the water for about 10 days, said no suspicious circumstances surrounded the death. Mr Hamilton, whose parents live in Napier, had not been reported missing. A woman friend, who assumed he had left Wellington, got in touch with the police when she read of the discovery of the body on Thursday afternoon.
