Crash pair identified
PA Auckland The victims of Friday night’s car crash on the Auckland harbour bridge — watched by shocked bridge staff on their television monitor — have been identified. They were the driver Marie Dunn Patton, aged 34. a company director, of Manurewa, the father of three, and his passenger Lillian Hula Woodward, aged- 26, of Papatoetoe. The police say that the two died when their latemodel car hit the buttress of the bridge’s centre span. The car rolled over and exploded in flames. The police identified the. victims from personal effects.
