Betham held
NZPA staff correspondent Apia New Zealand's Commonwealth middle-weight boxing champion, Monty Betham, and his brother-in-law, Douglas Heine, are being held in custody in Apia, .Samoa, charged with causing actual bodily harm to a taxi-driver. The police allege Betham and Heine beat up the driver and drove a car across his legs when he refused to race cars with them.
