Trail of destruction
Cuban exiles have been responsible for a series of shootings and bombings in America and abroad. These were the main international incidents this year: April 6 — A machine gun attack from launches on two Cuban fishing boats off Florida, killing one fisherman. April 22 — Bombing of Cuban embassy in Lisbon, killing two and destroying building. July 5 — Cuban mission at United Nations bombed. July 9 — Bomb explosion in a cart carrying
luggage to a Cuban Airlines plane at Jamaica airport. July 10 — Bomb explosion in a Barbados office of British West Indies’ Airways, which represents Cuban Airlines. August 9 — Kidnapping of two Cuban embassy officials in Argentina. Both still missing. August 18 — Bombing of Cuban Airlines office in Panama. October 6 — Bombing of Cuban Airlines plane in Barbados, killing all 73 people aboard.
