Young side to tour
Young rugby league players throughout this country will have an additional incentive to perform well next season. The British Amateur Rugby League Association is keen to send an under--18 team to New Zealand, and the move has been
welcomed by the New Zealand Rugby League. Two fixtures are to be held, probably against North Island and South Island sides of similar age, between June 3 and 13. They will be played as curtain-raisers to World Cup matches and the logical venues are Auckland and Christchurch.
