Eight deaths from drugs
PA Wellington Eight persons have died in ' New Zealand this year through drug abuse. The figure, given in Parliament yesterday by the Minister of Health (Mr Gill) includes four deaths attributable to morphine abuse, two to cocaine, and two to heroin. Mr Gill, answering a question by Mr B. S. Lambert (Nat., Western Hutt), said that there were eight drug-caused deaths for the year ended December 31, 1975. These included three from heroin abuse, two from L.S.D., two from cocaine, and one from morphine.
