Dinner shoots down Wallaby NZPA Perigueux
It was small wonder the Wallaby flanker, Gary Pearse, was feeling leadenhearted as he reported for an X-ray of his strained stomach muscles.
The X-ray showed that Pearse a member of the touring Australian rugby team in France, had four shotgun pellets in' his stomach — obviously swallowed when the Australians ate freshly-killed pheasant at a team dinner in Narbonne two nights ago. i
