PA Wellington Social Credit intends to double its membership this < year.
| its- aim is to have 1000 i members in every electorate bv the 1978 General Election, a target met by only two electorates so far.
At a seminar in Lower Hutt the chairman of the campaign committee (Mr N. McConchy) set targets for Wellington and the Hutt Valley. He told delegates that the membership achieved before . the 1975 election had to be doubled if Social Credit were to be shown as a • viable alternative to the two party club. Membership was already higher than before the election, he said. Door-to-door canvassing is planned.
