At present the Society, which is democratically constituted and recipient of strong Government support, is made up of 117 branches, 658 subbranches, approximately 300 Piunket mothers clubs and 6 PlunketKaritane hospitals. It is now moving towards a regionallsed organisation with overall co-ordination by the NZ Council, an arrangement which will decentralise many of the sdministrative procedures. The Director of Administration will be responsible to the Council tor efficient provision of all financial, accounting and secretarial services; hmoly preparation of financial statements, budgetary controls, claims for Government subsidy and other statistics and data; supervision of appropriate head office staff: adviee and assistance to regional and other associated bodies, etc. Close liaison with the Director of Medical Services and Director of Nursing Services and attendance at meetings of the Council.
