Bisley profit rose 7 p.c.
The unaudited group net profit of A. M. Bisley and Company, Ltd, rose about 7 per cent to about $586,400 in the year to June 30.
Sales revenue rose 18 per cent to SB.6M. Total exports increased, but not all export sales qualified for increased export taxation incentives.
The profit was after providing $270,209 more at $464,652 for tax, including a new provision for deferred tax.
The ordinary’ dividend, which under the current restrictions is limited to 15 per cent (15c a share) is covered 3.5 times. The directors consider that an increased dividend would have been justified under normal circumstances.
The dividend is payable after the annual meeting on December 10, ex dividend Nov. 24. The accounts show a strong current ratio of 4.6 to 1, and an asset backing of 391 c a share, the report says.
