DUE TO EXPANSION of the Commission's work in the Safety field applications are invited for the position of Assistant Director of Safety located in Wellington, to assist the Director in the promotion of safety in every aspect with special emphasis on safety in the work place. Applicants should preferably have a university degree or be professionally qualified and have considerable practical industrial experience, especially in the fields of safety promotion, safety education and training. A full appreciation of modern aafety management techniques including loss control management is also desirable. Creative thinking and an ability to motivate and lead staff is essential.

The salary for the successful applicant will he negotiated up to $12,997 according to experience and background. Conditions of appointment will include sick leave provisions and subsidised superannuation. Home finance at generous interest rates will be considered if required, and transfer expenses to Wellington will be met by the Commission.
