Drug charges after raids
Six persons appeared in the Christchurch Magistrate’s Court yesterday on charges of selling cannabis to undercover policemen.
All six were arrested as the result of dawn raids on four addresses at 7 a.m. on Monday for drug, burglary and receiving offences.
Lewis David Wiseman and Gary David Snelling, both of the same address, were charged with selling cannabis to a policeman on September 12 and 13 respectively. Graham Robert Cherry
and Hamish Gregory Lyall, also living at the same address were charged with selling cannabis to a policeman on September 3 and July 13 respectively. They also face three charges of unlawfully selling liquor.
lan Ross Adolph is charged with selling cannabis to a policeman on August 27 and John Victor Nelson faces the same charge relating to incidents on June 30 and July 9.
All six defendants have been remanded on bail without plea to September 21.
