I Combined totalisator turnover | of $819,601 was easily a record, ] according to the report of the president (Mr R. D. Catherwood) to be presented at the annual meetig of the Rangiora Trotting Club next Wednesday. The club had a most successful year, showing a profit of $6759. against a loss of $3579. Representations were made to the Racing Authority for financial assistance towards an allweather track and other training facilities, but these had been unsuccessful. says the report. Stakes increased by $lBOO to $27,600 for the season, and it was the intention of the club to season.
