Parking in Hagley Park

Sir, — If Rosie I. Witty is referring to the parking area near the cricket oval, I cannot agree with her conception of “close.” I parked there once, between August 4 and September 1 illegally, as I thought, and my passengers and I had to walk in the rain each way to the Public Hospital while my car received a spattering of mud, by another motorist who unwisely allowed the rear w'heels of the vehicle off the comparatively small amount of shingle provided. — Yours, etc., LEICESTER EMMETT. September 13, 1976.
