Unlawful intercourse
A man appeared in the Christchurch Magistrate’s, Court and 20 other men are being questioned by the police, for having unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14- - year-old girl. Maurice Haakarine Rule, I aged 20, a factory hand of I kaiapoi (Mr M. J. French). I I was convicted and fined $75. He was the fifth person to I appear before the Court for: (having sexual intercourse! with the complainant. The complainant, who was! granted interim suppression of name, approached Rule in Kaiapoi on or about December 19, and asked him to take her out. The defendant took her to a party and at the end of! the evening the complainant I accompanied him to his I Christchurch flat where she! stayed the night and intercourse took place.
