L y n e t t e “Squeaky” Fromme serving a life sentence for trying to assassinate President Ford during his visit to Sacrimento, California; a year ago. has given up attempts to get her conviction reversed. In a letter to U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Macbride, the former follower of the convicted mass murderer, Charles Manson, has asked that her appeal be withdrawn. Miss Fromme. who is 27, is serving a life sentence in a correction centre in San Diego. — San Diego.
