NZTS sales rose 24 p.c.

Group sales of NZTS Holdings, Ltd. increased 24 per cent in the four months to July, the chairman (Mr J. H. Plowman) said at the annual meeting. Indications were that the company should be able to maintain its present growth rates.

The services and handryer divisions increased sales 14 per cent in the four months. The growth in sales to existing customers had tended to reflect the present subdued economic fortunes of the country, but sales to new customers were 1 n ( > vigorously pursued and there was a good response to most of the group’s newer services division. There was a 150 per cent rise in external sales to buyers in both New Zealand and Australia.

A sales organisation had been set up in Australia. The new automatic beverage machines division increased sales 58 per cent in the four months, but in the first two months the division was not owned by NZTS
