Coast table tennis titles
Can’erbury players did well in the West Coast open table tennis championships, held In Hokitika. A West Coaster, Mary Anderson win the women’s singles. It was a well applouded win, as it has been many years since a Coaster has even got into the finals Of Canterbury players, G. Rh.id won the men’s singles and doubles, with K. Duffy; Misses K. Thompson and L. Wilson won the women’s doubles, and the boys’ doubles were won by J. Richards and S. Dixon. Marlborough also had a good record. B Palmer won the boy’s singles, and V. Soul the girls’ singles. She also won the mixed doubles, with B. Webb; the girls’ doubles with C. Jary (Nelson), and the Junior mixed doubles, with B. Palmer.
