Sea mails for South Africa
The next shipment of mail direct to South Africa will be on September 3, according tn the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch (Mr J. C. Smith). Sea mails to South Africa had been delayed by the Waterside Workers' Union ban on the handling of freight for South Africa, which ban would end on August 15, Mr Smith said. The last shipment of mail to South Africa was made on June 15.
