R. T. Harris fined $100

The Tuahiwi trainer, R. T. Harris, was fined $lOO by. the Canterbury Jockey Club’s judicial committee at Riccarton on Saturday. The fine was imposed after the committee had held an inquii*v into the eligibility of Nurse Onisis, which started in the Springston Handicap on the second day of the Grand National meeting last Tuesday. The race was for three and four-year-old non-winners at the time of starting. Nurse Onisis is a five-year-old. Harris, who was absent when Saturday’s inquiry was held, was represented bv Mr G. Woodsford. who told the judicial committee that Harris had inadvertentN confused the age of Nurse i Onisis with that of another horse !in his stable named Onassis.
