Envelope drive for hockey
A major fund-raising campaign — a mystery envelope appeal — to provide money for the future development of hockey, will be held by the Canterbury Hockey Association on October 29. The association is organising the venture in conjunction with the New Zealand Arthritis Society and Bumside High School. The high school will provide sellers, and its share of the profit will be a donation to the Burnside community gymnasium to be built at the school. To break even, the association will have to sell 40.000 tickets at 50c. The greater Christchurch area. Rangiora and Kaiapoi will be covered by the sellers.
