CSR shares in oil flow
The exploratory well being drilled .about 26 miles offshore Ras al Khaima a United Arab Emtirate, has recovered oil from two zones between 14,500 ft and 16,000 ft. The combined initial test rates were 3800 barrels a day of 26-37 degrees A.P.I. gravity oil with low sulphur content. The well has been temporarily abandoned pending the results ot further drilling in the area. As previously announced, CSR, Ltd, acquired a 5 per cent interest ,in this well from Weeks Petroleum Ras al Khaima, Ltd, with the right to a 5 per rent interest in the concession.
CSR is considering its position regarding participation in the proposed additional wells.
