SHARE PRICES REMAIN FIRM ON MODERATE MARKET

Share prices were again firm on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, although many frequently traded issues remained steadv. Arthur Yates gained 20c after the announcement that its half-yearly profit had more than doubled. N.Z. Steel rose 2c to add to the 8c it gained on Monday. Newspapers were mixed. N.Z. News firmed 10c, but its Auckland rival, Wilson and Horton, eased 15c. Trading was moderate! active.
