Contest winner
A young Christchurch woman, Dallas Stawasz, (left) has won a national beauty contest run throughout New Zealand by an American cosmetic company.
A 24-year-old mother of two young children, Dallas Stawasz has won a 10-day
holiday for two in Singapore. She and her sister will leave for their holiday on August 23.
More than 380 girls entered the “Fresh Cover Girl” contest, sponsored by Helena Rubinstein. Eight girls were selected to meet the judges for the final in Auckland.
As well as the holiday, Dallas Stawasz has won $5OO spending money from the company, and a $750 wardrobe of aqualana and superwash wool clothes given by the New Zealand Wool Board. She will fly with Singapore Airlines, and accommodation at the Mandarin Hotel will be provided by the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board.
Dalias Stawasz returned to New Zealand just three months ago, after living in Massachusetts for four years.
