Programme unacceptable
The proposed geriatric day programme in the occupational therapy department of Princess Margaret Hospital did not appear acceptable, the finance committee of the North Canterbury Hospital Board was told. There was no alternative, but to proceed with the de-; velopment of a geriatric day hospital as a new venture, it, jwas suggested. The medical superintend-, ent-in-chief (Dr L. McH.! Berry) said that a day hospi-; tai was an essential part of geriatric services and that a planning programme would now he proceeded with.
