Loans for flats
NZPA Wellington. A Housing Corporation subsidy of $238,000 for a Christchurch City Council rental housing project for the elderly was announced yesterday by the Minister of Housing (Mr Gair). The subsidy, and a corporation loan of $84,000. will be used to build 24 flats in Blake Street, South Brighton. The corporation will lend $49,000 for a Nelson City Council rental project for 11 one-person and three twoperson flats in Blackwood Street. The Minister said the money was in addition to a Government subsidy of more than $13,000, previously approved.
