Produce evidence -H.A.R.T.

PA Wellington The chairman of H.A.R.T. (Mr Trevor Richards) has described the Government’s attack on his organisation in Parliament yesterday as “fiery on rhetoric but lacking in facts.” Mr Richards said last evening that H.A.R.T. had again sent a telegram to the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) asking him to back up with evidence the claims he made about H.A.R.T. vesterday. “On Monday, the Prime Minister accused H.A.R.T. of telling lies around the world, and we immediately sent a telegram to him seeking evidence of the lies.” The Prime Minister’s only reply was to repeat the allegation yesterday and “tack on a few more,” said Mr Richards. “We are scrupulously careful in what we state in material we send overseas,” he added.
