Corso take well down
The total received by Corso in its annual appeal in June is expected to exceed $210,000, well down on last year’s final figure of $313,500. House-to-house collections were not made in many parts of the North Island this. year. Where collections were made, there was a trend of reduced giving of between 10 and 20 per cent. Only, some towns and cities showed increases, and these were very small. The amount recorded on July 12 was $190,726, and money is still arriving at the rate of about $2OOO per day.
