Peel Forest camping still limited
The Peel Forest Park Board is still resisting pressures for more camping facilities in the park, near Geraldine. In its annual report to March 31. the board said it would continue to limit camping to a maximum of 70 j
people at one time, directing the overflow to other grounds. The board chairman (Mr J. E. Friel) said that demands for camping grounds could be met better if a proposed Strathallan County Council camping and holiday house area outside Peel Forest Village became a reality. Most of the bush track damaged at Pee! Forest caused by the flooding in January, 1975 has been repaired. but plans for the Rata Falls and Emily Falls areas — where tracks remain closed — are still under review
