Floor of fan mail

Since “Chicaboom”, TV2’s new afternoon children’s line-up began a few weeks ago, its Christchurch producers have been flooded with mail. “Chicaboom” is an hour and a half of children’s programmes and contests on week-day afternoons, hosted by CHIC LITTLEWOOD and produced in Christchurch by JILLIAN EWART. In the first five weeks Jillian found herself having to deal with 13,500 letters from children.

She has kept a record of how many children wrote in for each particular contest or gift. There were 6000, for instance, asking for balloons or Willy McNab stickers.
