Boating on Picton harbour

A lang-standing interest in fast boats has led the owner of Koromiko Service Station, Mr Lyn Sigglekow,

to sponsor this 15-foot powerboat, named Radcliffe Marine, Owned and driven by Mr

Graeme Radcliffe, “Radcliffe Marine” is powered by a 135 hp Evinrude motor, and is capable of

speeds of 75 to 80 miles an hour. The craft is a two-seater, with a tunnel-style fibre-

class hull. It has been raced twice since the two men have been associated with it, and they say it has performed well although it was hot among the main piacegetters. The photo shows Mr Radcliffe at the controls of his craft during a run on Picton Harbour.
