Fijians win bowls titles NZPA Suva Two local players. Ram Harakh and Dorrie Costello took major honours in the South Pacific bowling carnival in Suva on Sunday with two titles each, including the respective singles titles. Harakh took the men’s singles title in a game of 100 ends against Sean Patton of Suva. And Harakh, teamed with Pratap Singh (Suva), Ray Benson (Dee Why, Sydney) and Shaheed Mahoammed (Suva) to beat titleholders Don Croome, Geoff Omeagher, Syd Snowsill and Bruce Southwick in the men’s fours final. The pairs title went to New Zealand with Len Benge and Frank Tait (Nae Nae) beating Fred Bridges and Harold Skipper (Whakatane, New Zealand).
