Canadian agreement
The Australian and New [ Zealand meat hoards have reached agreement on action [to prevent beef being sold to [Canada at an unduly low price. The chairman of the New Zealand Meat Board (Mr Hilgendorf) said last evening, in [announcing that agreement 'had been reached between the
I two boards, that a regulation would be made so that no-one Icould sell from New Zealand [or Australia, at: a differential [of more than 6c per lb between the United States and Canadian markets. [ This would ensure that beef was not sold to Canada [at a price which might lead [Canada to impose a defined 'quota on imports.
